This Privacy Policy explains how Liftu Technologies Pvt Ltd ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you use our job-application service (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to the practices described here.

The Service exists to apply to jobs on your behalf and send you proof of every application. To do that, we necessarily collect personal information and submit it to third-party employers and job platforms. This policy is meant to be plain about what that involves.

1. Information we collect

1.1 Information you give us

• Identity and contact data: your name, email address, phone number, and (if you contact us on WhatsApp) your WhatsApp handle.
• Resume and profile data: your resume, work history, education, skills, eligibility to work, location preferences, salary expectations, and any other details you share so we can apply to roles on your behalf.
• Job preferences: the roles, industries, seniority levels, and companies you want (or don't want) us to apply to.
• Account credentials, where required: if a job portal requires you to maintain an account, we may set one up on your behalf using credentials you provide or that we create together.
• Payment information: handled by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers on our systems.

1.2 Information we generate

• Application records: for every application we submit, we record the company, role, time, and a screenshot of the submission.
• Service communications: messages between you and us over WhatsApp, email, or other channels.

1.3 Information we receive automatically

• Basic device/browser data when you visit this website (IP address, user-agent, referrer). We do not run third-party analytics on this site by default.

2. How we use your information

• To apply to jobs on your behalf, in accordance with the preferences and authorization you give us.
• To tailor your resume or cover letter for specific roles where doing so improves your odds.
• To send you proof of each application (typically over WhatsApp), and to discuss your job search.
• To operate, maintain, and improve the Service, including troubleshooting and support.
• To process payments and prevent fraud.
• To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

3. How we share your information

Applying to jobs requires sharing your information with third parties. We share what is necessary for the Service to work, and nothing else.

• Employers and job platforms. When we submit an application on your behalf, we share your resume and any required application fields with the employer or job platform (e.g. Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, company career sites, and major job portals). Those parties handle your information under their own privacy policies, which we do not control.
• Service providers. We use vendors for hosting, communications (e.g. WhatsApp), payment processing, and email delivery. They process your information only on our instructions and under appropriate contractual safeguards.
• Legal and safety. We may share information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of users, the public, or Liftu Technologies Pvt Ltd.
• Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.

4. WhatsApp and email communications

Because the Service is delivered over WhatsApp, message metadata (your number, timestamps, delivery status) is processed by Meta Platforms as part of WhatsApp's normal operation. Message content is end-to-end encrypted between your device and ours. If you'd rather receive proofs by email instead of WhatsApp, contact us and we'll accommodate where we can.

5. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to maintain application records (which you may need to reference), handle disputes, and meet legal or accounting obligations. You can request deletion at any time. See "Your rights" below.

6. Your rights

You can ask us to:

• Provide a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct information that is inaccurate or out of date.
• Delete your information ("right to erasure"). Some records may be retained where law requires (e.g. tax records).
• Stop applying to jobs on your behalf at any time.
• Object to or restrict certain processing, or withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

To exercise any of these rights, email pi@piloit.com. We will respond within a reasonable period (typically 30 days). If you are in a jurisdiction with specific data-subject rights (such as the EU/UK under the GDPR or California under the CCPA), those rights apply in addition to anything described here.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit, restricted access, and vendor due diligence. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach occurs we will notify affected users and authorities where required by law.

8. International transfers

We are based in India. The third parties we work with (employers, job platforms, vendors) may be located in other countries, which means your information may be transferred and processed outside your home country. Where the law requires it, we put appropriate safeguards in place (such as standard contractual clauses).

9. Children

The Service is intended for adults aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Cookies and tracking

This website uses essential cookies only (for example, to remember a session). We do not run third-party advertising trackers. If we ever add analytics, we'll update this policy first.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service evolves. We will revise the "Last updated" date at the top and, for material changes, give you reasonable advance notice through the Service or by email/WhatsApp.
